As you see we went to several baseball games, softball games, a tack meet, we travelled across town to attend some of them....we enjoyed each one very much. It was nice to be with our Oregon family. The children are growing up...and we only get to see them once or twice a year. DeLona and Steven always treat us royally and make us feel so welcome. Thanks S & D. Cole gives up his bed so we can have somewhere to sleep and of course DeLona is such a wonderful mother, wife and cook we hate to leave.

WE went to the open house of the Gila Valley Temple just before we left to Oregon.

This is Saturday the 8th of May.

Judy, myself, Gary & Glenn travelled in Judy's truck. Amaron & Satya with their children were right behind us......with Halee, Sage, Brodee, & Capri.....Adam, Kristie, with their 5 boys, Dallin, Wyatt, Cade, Jace & Travin, plus Gaby, were not too far behind us........This is a picture after we went through the tour.

We stopped at the house that Judy & Gary's father, Jessie Glen (Rusty) Merrill

was born in......Pima,Graham, Arizona. Judy, Gary, & Sharlene

Another picture

Another picture....I should say the part of the house on the left was the first section build.....the part of the house with the gables was added later.....in a book I read that this Taylor home was often used for weddings and big gatherings in the community in it's early days.

Rusty was born on the 28 of May 1906, he lived a long life and was very proud of his heritage, his mother being a Taylor. Rusty said of the house....it was old when he was born.

My family had a start in Pima also....the Teeples', they lived there in the 1800's. The same book that told about the Taylor home and the Merrill's told about the Teeples. My g-g-grandma Harriet Betsy Cook Teeples was the post master in Pima. When they first moved there is was called Smithfield. William Randolph Teeples was her husband.

As we were standing and taking pictures....a couple of vehicles stopped....and out got Jeremy, Jill & family....& Tara, Chad, & family.....Chad Williams (Tara's husband) said that he grew up in a house across the street from the Taylor home. They had gone through the Temple the day before and were heading home also. It always amazes me how we see family or friends everywhere we go.

Amaron, Satya, Capri, Sage, Brodee & Halee

Brodee, Sage, Halee, & Capri....on the steps of the original house.

We looked in the window and saw a picture of two small children....Amaron said it looked like the picture I have of Aarron and DeLona.....and it did......

There is an open ditch running next to the street in front of this house.....Amaron jumped across it...and challanged Satya to jump too.....well Sage jumped and did not quite make it....and when no one was looking Brodee decided to jump...he ended up right in the middle of the ditch. We all had a good laugh. Sorry I don't have a picture.

Another one of those pictures.....this one with Judy in it.

Getting ready...after the trip over to the Temple

Satya fixing Brodee's shirt and putting on his tie.

Sage smiling before she got out.

Before we went to the Temple we spent a few days with Dayson, Kim and Family

When we got there....Carson was asleep on the chair.....he had come home from school with a fever. He slept through dinner....afterward we all crashed and watched TV. We stayed in Judy's new trailer....sure is nice...it is parked at Dayson's so she won't have too far to pull it up to Big Lake in June.
Also was nice that we did not have to have the children move out of their beds.

Daycee, MacKenzie, Aarron, & little Adam Merrill on the steps of their home.

A few days later...Carson he feels much better.

Clayton, & Carson.....the same day we arrived Clayton twisted his ankle.....we went to assist Kim and Dayson while Kim worked.....Clayton stayed home from school the next day and then the day after he went to see the DR. No broken bone.....just sprained....So he only missed one day of school. We went to Daycee's ballgame.....she did a good job playing softball. We helped take kids to school, pick them up and played with the little ones that didn't go to school.

Another picture of the youngest four....

MacKenzie had a program at school for the Kindergarten class....Kim, Dayson, Adam & Aarron

Feeding the children....Daycee, MacKenzie & Aarron

Kim fixing the dinner after Daycee's ball game. Thanks Kim.....for everything.

This is a picture of my cousin and her husband.....Loraine, & Jay Nalder they live in Washington, we had a get togther at Elaine's house while they were visiting. They were here the week before Easter. Elaine, Muriel, Milton, Stanley, Linda, Nephi, Sharlene, Dad,(Nephi V.) Vayla & Mom (Elsie)

Gary in the hospital.....Sage gave him her kitty cat......we had an emergency trip and Gary had a stint inserted in his heart....he had a blockage and the Dr.'s took care of it. Gary spent the 7,8,9,and came home on the 10th of April.

The week before that was Karene's wedding.....the week after Michelle's wedding.

Never a dull moment around here.
